Research Interests:
Attention and awareness, multisensory binding, causal inference in perception, body and self representation, use of TMS and tDCS to establish causal roles, Bayesian statistical modeling of cognition, ‘working memory’-based theories of consciousness.
Personal Interests:
Philosophy of mind, the ‘hard problem’ of consciousness, German transcendental idealism, all forms of music, fingerstyle guitar, Buddhism and non-theistic spirituality and meditation, the intersection between scientific, philosophic, religious, and artistic knowledge.
